#9-Not Quite Pale Ale
A beer cloaked in secrecy. An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there has never been anything else quite like it.
Crisp Lager is, bold, crisp and delicious flavors punctuated by soft honey malt and lots of peppery hops. To brew this beer, Six Point sources a very special floor-malted variety of Moravian malt found exclusively in the Czech Republic. For the hops, Six Point sources varieties from both the United States and Germany. An extended cold-lagering phase allows this beer to finish clean and, as an added treat, Six Point steeps another massive dose of hops on the beer as it rounds out its cold conditioning. The result is a hybridized style of delicious beer, consistent with their methodology of drawing inspiration across multiple cultures.
The best thing to come out of a brick oven since pizza. Blue Point has upgraded from their original direct-fire brick kettle, but their flagship Toasted Lager still has the same toasted flavor it was named for. Copper in color, their most popular and unique brew is made from six different malts, including English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat, and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and the special lager yeast they use produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish.
